Extra things

I just discovered this book today as I was browsing some of the blogs I follow. Because the motto in my classroom is "treat others as you want to be treated", this book will definitely be my next purchase. Though I love the dynamic voices in the video, I think I would prefer to read it to my class myself the first time. The video goes a little fast. I want to be able to stop and discuss with students as we read.

The first video is a song trailer for the book. The second video is a reading of the book. The trailer would be great to show before reading the book.

So, what do you think? When I ask students if they would like me to read the story to them after seeing this trailer, I bet they say, "YES!!"

But I think I'll save this next video, the actual reading of the story, for another day (after I have read them the story). It would be a great entertaining refresher!

TES Connect has many games /activities in .swf files so that you are able to download and embed them! Here's one I plan to embed on my Theme 1 Smart Notebook File
to give students practice with creating word family words.
